There is no better setting for family photos than the beach. When the Raup family suggested their beloved Ocean City, NJ, for this year’s session, I was only too happy to oblige! Now, I am not a beach person for the most part. I burn incredibly easily and have a hard time sitting and doing nothing. It seems like a lot of work to me, only to come home burnt, bored, and covered in sand. However, I will photograph portraits at the beach every day! The low contrast, even light, and soft color pallet make the perfect setting for portraits.
It’s very hard to believe that I have been photographing the Raup family for a few years now. It’s such an honor to document a family over the years as they grow. This session is hands down one of my favorites. We had cloudy skies, an empty beach, and so much fun. Here are some of my favorites!
