Christmas Cards.  What will we do for Christmas Cards? Family portraits? It was an odd thought that struck me out of nowhere. How will I ever be able to take a family photo again knowing that our family will be forever incomplete in every picture we take for the rest of our lives?

It occurred to me not long after our 3rd son, Matthew John, was stillborn 10 days before his due date last May that, all of sudden, something so beautiful, so joyous, took on a whole new meaning. I resigned myself to the fact that it would be a very long time before we would be able to take family portraits again – – or ever. Needless to say, we did not send Christmas Cards that year. I’m amazed with how quickly children grow.  I saw Abby and her family late this summer for some family photographs.  I was so excited to photograph just her this time (and of course a few shots of baby brother Jacob!).  Abby is becoming such a young lady and I am so happy her parents are capturing this moment in her life.  Here are some of my favorite photos of this sweet blue-eyed girl! I am a lucky lady.  My life is filled capturing people’s happiest moments.  Weddings, engagements, family moments, graduation- I see so much love in my job and it makes me see the world through rose colored glasses.

I am even luckier having been able to photograph Henry from bump to now age 2!  He’s kind of grown with my business- my mascot almost!  Henry will be turning two next month, and I am so happy I was able to capture this special moment in his family’s life.
