Chesapeake Inn Wedding | Sarah and Virgil | Maryland Wedding Photography

The small town of Chesapeake City, Maryland, is a water lover’s paradise. Nestled along the Chesapeake Bay, the summers are cooled with bay breezes and the nights are lit with fireflies. Nestled among the streets of multi colored cottages is the Chesapeake Inn Restaurant and Marina, drawing in visitors by land and by water. It’s grand ballroom features a domed ceiling with dozens of star-like lights, and it’s outdoor patios all lead down to the docks. For Sarah and Virgil, this was the location that married all of their loves.

Sarah and Virgil have a love and energy for life that I am not sure I have ever been able to live up to! There seems to be nothing that can steal their joy, and this is magnified when they are together. I have never seen a groom so eager to have his guest enjoy themselves or to marry his bride! And sweet Sarah, always bringing joy and calm wherever she goes.

Sarah and Virgil’s wedding brought forth some fantastic celebrations as well as timeless traditions. Their wedding was a blend of western and Korean, and they worked hard to ensure that family and friends from all over the globe were included.

It was a night to remember, from the stunning ceremony, to the first dance choreographed to La La Land (I almost died– this is my favorite movie and they nailed it!), I am so happy I was able to be there! I hope these photos bring Sarah, Virgil, and their 76 children joy for a lifetime 🙂

Old City and Elfreth Alley Engagement Session | Gabby and Jack

elfreth alley philadelphia engagement session

Engagement sessions in Philadelphia are some of my favorites. Within a stones throw, you are bound to find an amazing location. There is old city, Rittenhouse Square, Elfreth Alley… and don’t forget about the Art Museum area! There is no shortage of inspiration or people (people who like to stare and congratulate you while getting your photos taken).

Gabriella and Jack were set on having their engagement session start at Elfreth Alley. AS the nations oldest continually inhabited street, it’s a glimpse into what Philadelphia used to be, nestled among busy streets and sky scrapers.

This particular autumn evening was incredibly brisk and windy, and kept us all on our toes! Gabby and Jack soon became used to celebratory shouts from passersby, and the occasional group of men wearing togas and wedding dresses (hello all of the universities in center city), and spent much of their session laughing and shivering. I am so thankful I am able to capture their wedding next year!

Tyler Arboretum Wedding | Tara and TJ

bride and groom kiss in the yellow autumn leaves of the ginkgo tree at tyler arboretum

Oh, I cannot tell you how excited I have been to share this gallery. Tara and TJ had one of the mot beautiful fall weddings I have ever witnessed. Tyler Arboretum, located in Media, PA, looked like something out of a Bob Ross painting. Everywhere you turned, colors were more vibrant than seemed possible. I remember Tara telling me about her favorite tree at Tyler Arboretum, a Ginkgo tree, and how she had chosen it at the site for their ceremony. Little did I know, autumn colors would be at their prime that weekend, and her beloved Ginkgo tree would be alight with vibrant hues of yellow and lime green.

The threat of rain was a real one for Tara and TJ. If you have gotten married in 2018, chances are it was raining. As I strolled through the grounds at Tyler Arboretum, arranging Tara’s dress and shoes, styling TJ’s tie, and capturing the details of their day, my heart ached for a rainless day. There was not a chance I wouldn’t be heartbroked if we had to move inside, and this wasn’t even my wedding!

As luck would have it, not a drop fell as Tara walked down the aisle, TJ serenading her with his guitar. The dark skies made the colors pop more vibrantly, and the cool autumn air was combated with hot cider.

During the reception, with all the guests tucked inside the barn, the skies opened and we were me with a downpour that had waited all day.

I am so very excited to share some of my favorite moments from Tara and TJ’s wedding!

Bloomsburg Wedding Photography | Ginny and John | Silver Moon Banquet Hall Wedding

bride and groom embrace after being married in bloomsburg PA

When I walked into St Paul’s Episcopal Church in Bloomsburg, PA, on the day of Ginny and John’s fall wedding, I could have cried happy tears. Ginny had been telling me about the vision for her wedding day, but seeing it all come together was overwhelming!  Mountain Laurel was draped from the sanctuary rafters, candles lines the aisle, and members of the wedding party were adorned in soft shades of creams and blue/greens.  As Ginny rounded the corner and stood in the aisle facing John, their radiant smiles warmed the room and everyone in it. There were tears, laughter, and much love to go around.

After vows were exchanged, Ginny, John, their family and friends celebrated the night away at the Silver Moon Banquet Hall in Lewisburg.  It is certainly not a day I will soon forget and I am so excited to wrap up this gallery and send it on its way!
