*cue squeal*
THIS IS MY FAVORITE POST OF THE YEAR!!! I always love looking through files after each wedding and seeing the behind the scenes shots. When a wedding is complete, everything looks prim and polished. No one really sees the throwaways- all the photos where the photographers are photo bombing, or where a certain pregnant belly got in the way 🙂 Well, in honor of my end of the year tradition, here is the behind the scenes reel from 2015!
- This arm is not mine- but it’s a special one! It’s the right hand of my right hand lady. This marks 3 years shooting weddings with Danielle, and honestly, I can’t imagine NOT shooting weddings with her. I hope that day is very very far away.
2. One of Danielle’s many talents is primping and fluffing dresses. Those perfect veil photos?? Yeah, she’s usually hiding and gently waving it.
3. This year was a special one! I not only had Danielle, but also Emersyn with me! I was able to document that growing bump through the year!
4 Sometimes we get to shoot weddings at the beach. It looks like we are hardly working…. but I promise we are!

7. And sometimes the beach is FREEZING
8. We always make new friends!
9. AND WE ALWAYS TEST THE LIGHT! Seriously, we are always testing that good, sweet light. So many people give us looks when we are taking photos of each other, as if shocked we are having an impromptu modeling session at a wedding. But it’s all to make sure we have our flashes set up and our cameras programmed correctly.
10. Danielle really likes cake. So, be warned future brides and grooms….
11. I like to climb things to get the shot. Last year it was guard rails and diving boards… so I’d say this year was a tad more safe.
12. Remember how I said the beach could be freezing? Here I am blowing on my hands to warm them just enough so I could feel them!
13. Sometimes we look cranky when we are hot.
14. Danielle is always laughing! She can make even rainy days bright 🙂

19. This year, Danielle’s sister Ally joined us for a couple of weddings. She’s already such an awesome photographer! I can’t wait to see what the future holds. She got some really awesome photos of Danielle and me working together which never happens!
20. Remember what I mentioned about Danielle being a good sport? YEAH, those dresses are heavy!

23. Want to know our secrets? Well we can’t tell you all of them. But how’s this for making use of space?
