Love Park Wedding | Tony and Julia | Philadelphia Wedding Photography

A romantic Love Park Wedding. Can you imagine?

Picturing the ruby red statue in the heart of the city, with City hall to it’s front, and a clear view down Ben Franklin Parkway to the Art Museum at its back, I can hardly think of a better spot to say “I Do”. Getting married at love park under the LOVE statue was something I thought to be impossible, until Tony and Julia reached out about their wedding. Love Park hosts Wedding Wednesdays, and it just so happens, Julia and Tony got a spot!

If you have ever tried to get a picture with the LOVE statue, you will know that there is usually a line at least 10 deep. To my joy, weddings at the Park come with red velvet ropes, keeping excited passersby just out of frame.

Julia and Tony had a pretty public engagement on the stage of Kimmel Center during a Valentine’s Day performance (check out the sweet moment here! ). They are both musicians in the Philadelphia Orchestra, bringing beauty to the city, so it was only fitting that the city provide some beauty for them on their wedding day.

Though I only spent a little over an hour with Julia and Tony for their elopement, I had so much fun getting to know them. We traipsed around city hall to the calls of “Congratulations!” from all who passed by, snapped some photos, and then they were off to celebrate in some big ways. Check out some of my favorite moments below!

Appleford Estate Wedding | Hunter and Alyssa | Villanova Pennsylvania Wedding Photography

Last summer, while we were all relatively sticking to the rivers and the creeks we were used to, I photographed Hunter and Alyssa’s Appleford Estate wedding in Villanova, PA. It truly felt like I was traipsing around an old estate in France. Every attention to detail at Appleford Estate, from the manicured gardens to the furnished rooms, was impeccable.

Hunter and Alyssa had to push back their day a year due to the pandemic. It broke my heart for them at the time. However, once everything had come full circle, I knew their day ended up being just perfect for them. I had the best time working with Hunter and Alyssa and I am so excited to share some photos from their day!

Lehigh Valley Engagement Photos| Jacobsburg Park | Kendall and Mike

Lehigh Valley Engagement Photos

couple stand in a field at Jacosburg State Park during their engagement session

My first time photographing an engagement session at Jacobsburg State Park in Lehigh Valley was nothing short of magical. Kendall and Mike had suggested this location for their engagement session, and I was only too happy to explore someplace new. Despite Mike’s broken foot, we took advantage of all the park had to offer, from creeks to fields of flowers to sun kissed rolling hills.

Working with Kendall and Mike was so fun, and as an added bonus, they brought their dog, Crouton (he just might be the cutest pup EVER). Our evening was filled with laughter and wonderful conversations, and best of all, a break in the heat wave.

I am so excites to photograph this wedding next year!!! Check out these Lehigh Valley engagement photos below!

Katie and Andrew’s Pump House B&B Wedding

Bloomsburg Wedding Photography

bride nd groom stand in the woods in the rain at their wedding at pump house b&b in bloomsburg pa

A rainy morning at Pump House B&B in Bloomsburg, PA, set the stage for Katie and Andrew’s spring wedding. What would a wedding in the woods be without some fresh dew making the colors so lush? This was NOT the original date planned for Katie and Andrew, or even the original reschedule, but thankfully, the day was simply meant to be. Married in the woods with their closest friends and family, Katie and Andrew celebrated as though they hadn’t been able to party in a year (hehe…..because it’s true….thanks Covid).

The bohemian flair perfectly mixed with the old pumping station of bricks and metal. Katie and Andrew spares nothing when it came to detail. Feathers and glass and gold- every detail was immaculate.

The Survival of Weddings

Wedding Photography Survives the Pandemic in Philadelphia

It has been a while. A very long while. I am not going to spend any time revisiting the last 18 months, because we all lived it. We need no additional reminders, as we are STILL living it.

Through it all, the uncertainty and pain, weddings have survived. They are back, and yes, they may not look exactly the same, but the love, the joy and happiness—- it is alive and well! I photographed a few weddings last year, mostly tiny weddings or elopements, and I am now back to shooting every weekend. I have much to share, and will do so, hopefully regularly. But today—- well today I just wanted to say hello. I am back, we are back, and weddings are back.
