An engagement session deep in the woods is incredibly romantic. Celeste and Zach knew right away they wanted a forest engagement session, and Northeast PA has a plethora to choose from! With a future in Corning, NY, for Zach’s new job, and their wedding just a month away, the 3 of us were able to spend a beautiful evening at Council Cup, which doesn’t disappoint with its stunning overlook spots. My favorite spot might have been every homeowners nightmare; a field of dandelion puffs!

Celeste and Zach just bubble over with sweetness and kindness! Every kiss, every giggle, every snuggle is sincere. They needed no prompting from me when it came to being flirty and snuggly. Two peas in a pod for sure!

Desmond Hotel Wedding | Becky and Michael | Malvern PA

All eyes were on Becky as she turned and started walking down the aisle in the Ballroom at the Desmond Hotel towards her groom, string quartet playing quietly in the background. Michael grinned ear to ear, and for those watching, he and Becky seemed to be the only ones in the room. They exchanged their vows, beamed down the aisle, and boogied the night away.

I can’t recall a more calm bride on her wedding day. Becky was the picture of poise, her joy overflowing. As she snuggled on the couch between her mom and sister, rain began to fall outside, which seems to be a daily trend during the summer of 2017. They chatted about old memories and inside jokes until is a fury of tulle, they shuffled off to the Desmond to marry her husband.

The rains stopped just after the ceremony and allowed us some much desired time outdoors. Despite the fact that the air felt like soup, Becky and Michael were nothing but smiles. If there is one thing about these two that you should know, it’s that their laughs are infectious. When one starts, it’s hard to know where the other one ends in terms of laughs. And Micheal… he’s always watching Becky laugh. It’s the cutest thing ever, and I’m sure he won’t appreciate me saying this 🙂

The party started off with a bang and featured a shout out to the Eagles, solo dance offs from the bride and groom, and a grand bubble exit.

Philadelphia Engagement Photography | Ridley Creek State Park | Jillian and Evan

My heart swells every time I shoot an engagement session at Ridley Creek State Park in Newtown Square. It’s a perfect mix between perfectly manicured gardens and wild, unkempt fields. A lovely, secluded haven just outside of the city.

Jillian and Evan were the cherry on top! Firstly, they’re about the cutest couple I’ve ever seen. Second, they are some of the kindest people I have ever met! I just love the way Jillian scrunches her nose when Evan makes her laugh. And Evan… well he must have been a model in his past. He could pull off the “GQ button your cuff links while you look yonder look” better than anyone!

Some sessions are just easy—- not in a lazy way, but in a natural way. These two are natural—- with each other, with the way they love one another, and with their kindness towards me! Rustic Bloomsburg Engagement Photography | Celia and John | Allie Skylar Photography

Find someplace meaningful. It’s my number one suggestion when couples are looking for a location for their engagement session. Celia and John knew exactly where they wanted their session to take place; Bloomsburg. We started at a big, yellow brick house, one I’ve driven by more times I can count (and one I actually used [trespassed] for wedding photos last month) which is one of their first apartments, and where they claim their relationship really began. They built the foundation of their love and the beginnings of their family in Bloomsburg, and we spent the evening strolling through the downtown before heading to the rolling hills on the outskirts of town. We watched the sun set in the tall grasses and Celia and John shared their vision for their 2017 wedding. Our night ended with hugs and the sweetest gifts. I don’t know how I manage to find the best couples… but really, I love the people I work with and the experiences we share.

Celia and John have an exciting 2017 ahead of them and I cannot wait to be a part of it with them!
